Updated Santa Clara County Health Order in Effect Starting this Friday
Posted on June 02, 2020.

The county of Santa Clara has issued an amended order effective Friday, June 5th that alleviates some of the prior restrictions.
After two and a half months of take- out and delivery only, restaurants will now be able to offer dine-in options! Only outdoor dining will be permitted under the new order, however, with the summer weather setting in, this is still a hopeful prospect. There will be many great restaurants to enjoy in Santa Row, Downtown San Jose, and Willow Glen even with the restrictions (including social distancing measures).
SF Chronicle restaurant critic, Soleil Ho, compiled a directory of Black-owned restaurants in the Bay Area for those looking to find ways to support the BIPOC community. This is a working list that she has asked people to contribute to if there is anything missing!

In addition to easing restrictions on restaurants, the new order allows for in-store shopping with face makes, childcare for all kids in stable groups of up to 12, manufacturing with social distancing measures, low contact services, and pet grooming. Also allowed are small outdoor ceremonies and religious services will be allowed for groups up to 25, as well as all outdoor recreational activities that do not involve physical contact. These include swimming pools, hiking, tennis, golf, camping, etc.
